Since there is no clear standard, Bayne engineers summarize the experience of mask detection and non-woven testing, proposing several important testing indicators, filtering efficiency, respiratory resistance, health indicators, and toxicology test.

First, filter efficiency

It is well known that filtration efficiency is a key indicator of mask quality assessment. This is also one of the important quality standards of non-woven fabric, so reference related standards, we recommend that the mask non-woven fabric bacteria filtering efficiency should not be less than 95%, while particulate filtering efficiency is not less than 30% for non-oil-based particulate filtering efficiency.

Second, respiratory resistance

Respiratory resistance, the size of the respiratory influence is hindering when wearing a mask. Therefore, the breathing resistance of mask non-woven fabric determines the breathing comfort when wearing a mask, and the indicators we recommend here are the intake resistance should be ≤350Pa, and the exhalation resistance should be ≤250Pa.

Third, health indicators

The hygiene indicator is naturally a key indicator of a mask non-woven fabric. Here we recommend the test project mainly for the initial pollutamic bacteria, the total number of bacterial colonies, the coliform, the pathogenic pyrogen, the total number of bacteria, E. coli, golden staphylococcus, white candida, ethylene oxide residue.

Fourth, toxicology test

Skin stimulation test, mainly considering the protective test test of some material allergic people. Refer to the provisions of GB 15979. The mask non-woven skin stimulation test is mainly used in cross-sectional, and the appropriate area of the sample is used. After the saline is soaked to the skin, it is tested with spotted paper.
